Two of the original Supremes are still alive today. Diana Ross, who became the group’s lead singer, and Cindy Birdsong, Ballard’s replacement, are the only two members still living.

The Supremes were one of the most successful Motown girl groups of all time. The group’s original members were Diana Ross, Florence Ballard, and Mary Wilson. The trio was discovered by Berry Gordy, the founder of Motown Records. The Supremes achieved a string of hits in the 1960s, including “Where Did Our Love Go,” “Baby Love,” and “Come See About Me.”

Florence Ballard left the group in 1967 and was replaced by Cindy Birdsong. The Supremes continued to release hits, but the group’s popularity began to decline in the early 1970s. Diana Ross left the group in 1970 to pursue a solo career. Mary Wilson continued to perform as a solo artist and also appeared in Broadway productions.

Mary Wilson passed away in 2021 at the age of 76. Florence Ballard passed away in 1976 at the age of 32.

Diana Ross and Cindy Birdsong are both still alive and well. They have both continued to perform and have been honored for their contributions to music. Diana Ross was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988 and received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012. Cindy Birdsong is also a Grammy Award winner. She has continued to perform and has also worked as a songwriter and producer.
